Earlier today, the Diamondbacks won their 2nd straight game against the Houston Astros, this time by the score of 11-2. This comes a night after a 12-2 pounding, against a Houston team that had previously been on fire. Yusmeiro Petit pitched well again, going 7 innings and giving up 2 runs. I have no idea how this guy is only 2-3, every time I see him he has a solid outing (his era is 3.02 for goodness sakes). The best news of the night, though, comes from Los Angeles where the Brewers beat the red hot Dodgers 4-3 in 10 innings. Look, I know Manny Ramirez is a great player, but someone has to beat these guys (unlike the Phillies who laid 3 eggs against them). Lets hope the Diamondbacks have figured something out here and keep this offensive show rolling, even though after tonight our Grand Slam Quota has been met for the next 5 years.
