Earlier tonight the Diamondbacks lost 4-2 to the Padres in San Diego. Both starters pitched great games, but it was the D'backs bullpen that blew another game late in the season for them. This time it was newcomer John Rauch, who gave up a 2-run bomb in the 9th to Jody "I look nothing like my name" Gerut. It seems like every night its someone new who blows the game for the D'backs. Tony Pena pitched great tonight but who knows about tomorrow, it may be his turn to lose a game for his team. The D'backs may not be destined for a championship, but if they want to even sniff the postseason fixing the bullpen better be #1 on their to-do list.
