The Diamondbacks just announced that they have locked down Right Handed Pitcher Dan Haren for the next few years. He has signed a 2 year extension that will take his contract through 2012, with a club option for 2013. The 2 year extension is valued at $31 million with the option being $15.5 million. A great move for the Diamondbacks who now only have to worry about locking up Brandon Webb as well, a move that'll probably cost them about $100 million. Yessh, being good is expensive, I can see why the Marlins sell off all their talent every few years. That's the way I'd do it if I had a team, that way I'd have more money for things like Gold Shoes and Diamond TVs. The picture is terrible on them, but they are just so damn luxurious.
