2 in a row!

The Diamondbacks finished up their second win in a row on Tuesday night, highlighted by Dan Haren (pictured above right before he broke up with Rachel) who pitched his first career complete game shutout. It's kind of surprising he's never had one before, and even more surprising he didn't give up about 18 runs like in last dozen starts. Now, if only these games had any meaning. It's a shame the D'backs don't have a damn calendar and realize it's too late now, you already lost like 30 games in a row when it mattered. Not to mention the Dodgers have been pounding teams during that time, to the tune of 14-2 in their past 16 games. Maybe next year when games actually count the D'backs will get some guts and not hit .150 as a team. Or maybe the bullpen won't pitch volleyball-sized strikes down the middle of the plate in crunch time. Or maybe the D'backs wont wear big blocks of cement of their hands instead of gloves.

Good game by Haren though, 'grats on the shoutout.
