The Diamondbacks finished up a 4 game sweep of the Giants on Thursday, beating Tim Lincecum in the process. Just about everything went right for the D'backs the past 4 days (except an almost-meltdown in the 9th on Wednesday), including handing a Cy-Young hopeful just his 4th loss of the season. Now it's off to Colorado for the D'backs, who basically need to win out to have a shot at the post season. The Dodgers won again on Thursday, apparently infuriated at being beaten on Wednesday. It's so much more fun watching competitive baseball. I'll ask it again, why couldn't the D'backs have started this winning streak a week earlier?
