Guess who can't score any runs

The Diamondbacks just finished getting beat 8-2 by the St. Louis Cardinals. Compounding their problems, the Dodgers beat the Padres 8-4, trimming the D'backs lead to 1.5 games in the west. Despite their thrilling comeback on Monday, the Diamondbacks offense was once again lifeless, and dependable starter Yusmeiro Petit (pictured above wallowing) was shaky, giving up 5 runs in 4 2/3 innings. The big problem here is that the Dodgers are 4-0 since losing to the D'backs on Friday, and can quickly grab the division lead this weekend when the two teams meet. My feeling is that if the Diamondbacks lose the lead in the division, it's going to be pretty damn hard to get it back.
