Just in from ESPN.com, Chargers linebacker/juicer/monster Shawne Merriman has decided to have reconstructive knee surgery and will be out the rest of the '08 season. This is actually great news for Merriman who tried to play on his busted knee this past Sunday and looked embarrasing doing it. You can't blame the guy for wanting to play, but he went to 4 doctors who all told him to get surgery and he still tried to play. That's Britney Spears marrying Kevin Federline, everyone knew it was an awful idea but she still tried it. Two ugly kids later she finally learned her lesson.

Merriman finally shuts it down
