The Pac-10 Stinks – ASU, Arizona, California, Oregon and UCLA all had pitiful performances over the weekend, with Oregon the only team able to muster a win against an underdog opponent. Great job, Pac-10, way to prove all those stereotypes that you are soft wrong.
The Colts aren’t good – But they do know how to make a terrific comeback. Being my second favorite team after the Cardinals, the Colts shocked a stadium full of Purple-plad Vikings fans. The Diamondbacks still stand as the only team wearing Purple to win a damn thing.
The Seahawks lose again! – Things just keep getting worse for Seattle, as they lost in overtime (at home!) to the 49ers. Joe Nedney (pictured above) sealed it with a 40-yarder on the Niners first possession in overtime. Maybe the Seahawks caught that disease the Cardinals had last year, I think it’s called LoseToTheWorstTeamEver-itis.
Zambrano no hits Astros – Apparently Carlos Zambrano pitched pretty well Sunday night. I managed to catch the final out so I think I have a pretty good idea of how the entire game went. It is pretty damn impressive to no-hit the hottest team on earth, albeit in a weird “home” game for the Astros.
Oakland wins, coach may be fired – In a move to prove how senile he is, Al Davis was quoted as saying he may fire coach Lane Kiffin and that “He’s not the guy I hired.” Well, did you hire a 21-year old college assistant who barely moved out of his parent’s house? Yes? Then that is indeed the man you hired.
