D'backs lose 3rd straight, strike zone shrinking

A few hours ago the Diamondbacks lost their third straight game, and now cling to just a 1/2 game lead in the standings over the Dodgers. The controversy here isn't the D'backs losing again, its the fact that umpire Ed Montague's strike zone was about the size of a postage stamp. This doesn't bother me a ton right now, but if every umpire is going to have a different strike zone, especially if its not consistent during the span of a game, then the MLB needs to do something about it. I love baseball, but if it starts letting its umpires change too much of the game, then it just won't work. Look at the NBA; the home teams won about 90% of the home games during last year's playoffs, do in large part to the referees playing to the crowd. Are we about to see a trend like that in baseball? I hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a Cubs vs. Redsox/Yankees world series either.
