Brandon Webb is an amazing pitcher, and is now 19-4 on the season after a 4-1 victory over the Padres Thursday night. He went 7 innings and gave up no runs, improving his ERA to a ridiculous 2.74. This guy may have 25 victories before the season is over if he keeps up his current pace. Normally, that would be a good thing, but its starting to worry me. Just how much damn money are the D'backs going to have to pay this guy when the season is over? They gave Dan Haren 15.5 million a year, imagine what they're going to have to give B Dub (Webb's official new nick name). For starters, he's gonna need a G-5, two copies of Superman #1, and a personal birthday wish from his idol, Mickey Mantle. I didn't say it would be easy, but I mean, c'mon, he's 19-4.
