During Friday's practice, Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith (pictured above in one of the most embarrassing poses ever) had to be restrained and sent home after getting into a fight with quarterback Ken Lucas. Apparently Smith punched Lucas in the face on the sideline during practice, something that's more common for Smith than you might think. According to Espn.comA three-time Pro Bowl pick, Smith has had trouble controlling his temper. He was suspended for a game in 2002 after punching teammate Anthony Bright during a film session. Smith received counseling for anger management, and a lawsuit filed by Bright was eventually settled out of court.
Look, nobody likes Anthony Bright or Ken Lucas, but you can't punch them in front of a sideline full of your teammates. You have to be a bit more subtle; hit him with a pipe on the way to his car, or drop an anvil on his head when he bends down to pick up a delicious pie.
